HUMAN was a day of reflection organized at Artopia’s premises to resonate with the convictions and approach of the artist in his series Recensés oubliés, which aims to re-signify human dignity within the context of migratory movements. For Yvon, this series is his contribution to the process of “building community together.”
Achieving this goal necessarily involved redefining the word human, proposing actions toward a re-humanization of thought, and implementing a set of epistemological actions that are at once creative, philosophical, educational, political, economic, sociological, and even psychological.

As part of his exhibition Recensés oubliés at OTHNI (Objet Théâtral Non Identifié) in Yaoundé, whose opening took place on Saturday, March 18, 2023, a series of intellectual activities were organized. These activities revolved around two main questions:
How can we promote free and dignified movement of people worldwide? How can we stimulate the social, educational, economic, and political conditions that foster the well-being of populations in their home environments?
Participants in this day of reflection included Yvon Ngassam, the artist; Dr. Narcisse Tchandeu, art historian and researcher at the University of Yaoundé 1; Claire Mballa, Regional Inspector of Educational Policies; and Germain Tchuenté, economist, accountant, and entrepreneur.
